Centro Quiropráctico Holístico FAQs
Common Questions Answered
Once I go to a chiropractor, will I always have to go?
No, it’s always your choice as to how long you want to be under care. Consider this though. It’s good to have your spine checked just as you go to the dentist for twice-yearly checkups.
Does it hurt to get adjusted?
Can chiropractic cure everything?
No, chiropractic doesn’t cure anything. Through the adjustment, we empower the body to be in a better state of health and to heal better.
Why would I have a newborn or a young child adjusted after they’re born?
The birth process is traumatic for a baby due to the force involved and subluxation can result. With a highly gentle adjustment-about the same pressure used to check a tomato for ripeness-we can adjust an infant. We also can work with the mom if she has breastfeeding difficulties or if her baby has primitive reflexes.
Chiropractic care can help ensure that your baby can develop optimally. Dr. Jesus adjusted his son when he was just 10 minutes old!
Do I need a referral from an MD to see you?
No, chiropractors are considered primary doctors that you can go straight to.
Do you work with medical doctors to co-manage care?
Yes. As a chiropractor and healthcare provider, Dr. Rolon loves to work with medical doctors or as part of a team to best benefit his patients.
Will you suggest exercises or other things I can do?
Yes, we will, as soon as we determine that you are prepared for it.
Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?
Yes. When we have special cases like that we do imaging. We will do X-rays and work above and below the area that had surgery, so the patient will still see benefits.
How much schooling is required to be a chiropractor?
You must first complete a bachelor’s degree in a science-related field and then do a four-year doctorate program at chiropractic college. Dr. Rolon earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Atlanta.
How safe is chiropractic care during pregnancy?
It’s very safe and we use only gentle adjustments.
Do you adjust pregnant women differently or use specific techniques on them?
Yes. Dr. Rolon follows the SOT protocol for pregnant patients.
What are the benefits for a pregnant woman getting chiropractic care?
Some doctors are referring to chiropractors and working together because they say that moms-to-be have a better delivery when their pelvis is adjusted. Also, adjusting and working with the diaphragm muscles and different ligaments can help reduce nausea and help balance the pelvis, which allows for an easier labor. The baby also benefits by having more room.
